In John 4:32, Jesus tells His disciples that He has meat to eat that they knew nothing about. That meat - was doing the will of His Father. In His encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well, Jesus shows us what the will of the Father is; seeking and saving that which is lost! We too are called to partake of this meat.
It is so important for those who are "in Christ" to understand their position before God. The story of Mephilosheth in the book of 2 Samuel gives us a great type of our blessing through Jesus Christ. Just as Mephilosheth could do nothing to be invited to the kings table, neither can we!
We live a stressed, over-burdened generation. While stress and anxiety often consume our minds and even negatively impact our health as the Christian. Jesus clearly tells us not to worry! Worry is unbelief in disguise and therefore, is actually a sin. God's cure for worry is found in Philippians 4:4-9.
Are you prepared for the unknown? The scriptures are clear in warning us that we have no guarantees about tomorrow. However, it is also clear that by living in the abiding presence of Christ we can be prepared for whatever tomorrow holds!
Throughout God's Word and human history, we read of men and women who have been stirred beyond a "religious requirement" and have turned their prayer into a cry! God is not impressed with showmanship, but a true cry from an honest heart - He never refuses!
All over the globe, the Kingdom of God is advancing and growing. People are being saved, delivered, and empowered for service. However, many are "not in the game" because they have their own agenda, idea, or vision. The harvest is ever before us. Focus on it and you will walk in the Power of Christ!
Jesus declared that through HIm, Good News would be preached to the poor, the broken-hearted would be healed, captives would be delivered, the spiritually blind would receive sight and on this Resurrection Sunday, because HE LIVES, this ministry continues!
In Timothy 6:6-10, and 17-19, we are told of the dangers that wealth can cause to our spiritual lives. Riches can be very deceiving and if left uncontrolled, will choke out the fruitfulness of God's Word in our life. We must learn to control money and never allow money to control us!
There will always be seasons of our Christian life when simply stated, "It's Time To Fight!" When it is clear that the enemy is coming in like a flood with temptation, discouragement, depression and other tactics - God's Word calls us to stand. All God is looking for - is someone willing to fight. He will empower that person to win the victory!
We are continuing in the 'Out of Order' series, focusing on the importance of Integrity. Three main areas in which we should be walking in Integrity, should be; in your Finances, in your Commitments, and in your Honesty.
