Seeing What Others Can't See

As followers of Jesus Christ we are a part of an everlasting Kingdom known as the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven. As we close out this sermon series, it is important for us to "see" that as new creations in Christ, we are to be "Kingdom people."

God wants His people to have a worldview that is different and unique from unbelievers. According to God's word, we are called into His Kingdom and are to serve as His ambassadors to the falling society around us. Sadly, many Christians have blurred vision and have difficulty seeing our true purpose on the earth.

The Holy Spirit is the greatest help for the follower of Christ. He empowers us to live for Christ and to be His witnesses. He is our closest companion and helper! May the Lord open our eyes to see the Great Comforter!

Jesus promised that as He was going back to the Father that He would send "another comforter," a true friend and companion to every follower of Christ. Unfortunately, so many Christians do not understand the work of the Holy Spirit and therefore avoid His ministry! Yet without the Holy Spirit - we have no power to further the Kingdom of God.

In many ways, follower's of Christ are no different than anyone else. We experience difficult times, loss, heartaches, sickness and pain. But in many ways, we are very different, we have access to the power and provision of God! We are not to see our struggles through the same lens as the world - we are called to see what others don't!

The Christian life is a "supernatural" life. We serve a God of miracles & the impossible. In Mark 8:15 Jesus warns that we must beware of the leaven of unbelief. Remember without faith it is impossible to please God! As we study & believe God's word our faith grows to a point where we see what others can't!
